![]() Sorry if this is a long rant, but I looked for answers online and all the first results are plugins for saving to local folders like in the older versions of RPG maker MV. What would stop say, RPG maker MV from transfering those save files into any different future projects I try to do? To actually use it, register the script in the browser bookmark, and then start it on the RPG Maker MV (Web ver.) Game page. So it worked like a dream, but how did RPG maker MV know to move the old save files from the old version of the game to the new one without any user input? Post subject: Re: Looking for an RPG Maker 2000 savegame editor. This BOOKMARKLET is a tool that inputs and outputs RPG Maker MV (Web ver.) data saved in a browser. What's weirder to me is, when I gave a test version of my game to a friend, he was looking for a place to transfer the save files from his previous version of the game to the newer version I gave to him.Įxcept somehow, RPG maker MV somehow knew to use the old save files from the previous folder into the new folder. I noticed with the newer RPG maker MV that the save folder no longer exists, and instead the saves are located elsewhere on the computer? I'm guessing Appdata but I'm unsure? An answer to this would be great. ![]() Create an event in the location of your Save Item. An illustration of a heart shape 'Donate to the archive' An illustration of a magnifying glass. To allow saving, you will make a save Event that sets Change Save Access to enable, then open the save menu before disabling save access. (TL DR I use old RPG maker MV and unfamiliar with newer versions) Don Miguel´s english translation of RPG Maker 2000. ![]() Now because my new game requires the newer addition that RPG maker MV had where it auto-caps the game to run at the desired 60FPS frame-rate, I'm deploying my games via the new version of RPG maker MV. Meaning when I tell my playerbase to update their game folders they just know to update the save folder with the new save files. I dont have any default engine saves, but it would be easy to make something similar for them as well. This is for games that compress the save using LZ-String, default saves can be directly edited with a text editor. Thought there might be a short and simple solution to just overwrite the current save with no message or whatever. So I'll start off by saying I usually use older version fo RPG maker MV because newer ones lag more on deployment, the older version of RPG maker MV use a folder called saves and save the files in there. YEP Autosave - adds an autosave function to save at specific events, but it adds so many options for this too like custom autosave messages and other stuff - and is one of YEPs paid plugins. I don't need to merge multiple save files, I simply just need one file that is constantly overwritten. RPG Maker XP gives you the power to create your own original RPG on Windows. The string for the system font is at offset 0圆c020 for RPG Maker 2000, or 0x878. HIME SyncSaveData - somehow merges all the data from all save files into one that contains all information - well thats already too much. Theyre good, but most of the save editors out there just focused on parameters and numbers. My game is basically a decision driven story game and I don't want players to just jump back to an older save file after a bad decision. And it would be perfect if there is an autosave option that automatically saves every x minutes or at specific events (like new map loaded). ![]() I just need one save file that is automatically loaded when you continue in the main menu and is overwritten when you save the game. I don't need multiple save slots for my game. ![]()
